Luciana Paoluzzi and Maria Rota Paoluzzi were raised in Rome. Luciana Paoluzzi is the child of Manlio Paoluzzi (an Italian military officer) as well as Maria Rota Paoluzzi (a mistress of Benito Mussolini). The siblings of Luciana are not known. She was in a local high school, and after matriculating in 1955 she studied marine engineering in the Scientific Academy of Milan - Luciana was the only female in her class. She began her modeling career within two years. However, this was changed after she got her first role in acting accidentally while visiting her father's Rome friend. It was a 2-line role in the film Three Coins in the Fountain. Brett Halsey was the first man she married. He is an actor. The couple made Return to the Peyton Palace together after their 1960 wedding. Luciana was given custody of the film when they split just a couple of years later. Charles became a baby. Between 1962 and 1970 Luciana had a relationship with Tony Athony who was an actor and producer who was influenced by her work in the film Green Slime and based on his script and production of his own mixed Spaghetti Western for which he was a bit of a hit.
